On Wednesday, August 31, two McKinney Christian Academy students were chosen to be acknowledged by the National Recognition Awards by College Board. Senior Emilio Sanchez and junior Max Luna both received the National Hispanic Recognition Award. The award is presented to students that score in the top 10% of Hispanic students in Texas on the PSAT and continuously maintain a 3.5 GPA. Sanchez says “I’m very dedicated to my studies but I am also very proud of my heritage, so receiving this award not only meant a lot to me, but to my family as a whole.” The school will recognize these students for this award next week at chapel.
