On Saturday, September 13, the McKinney Christian Academy boys and girls cross country teams raced in the Sixth annual Ram Run at Sadler Consolidated High School. The meet started with the girls two miles race. When the girls crossed the finish line, senior Belle Kanz placed ninth overall. When asked about the meet Kanz said, “I’m really proud of the team and our performance. I ran well and so did everyone else and a lot of us got PR’s.” Right after the girls two mile race, the men lined up for their race. Junior David Roller finished in eighth place with a time of 18:21. The Mustangs had a lot of personal records including freshmen Adam Gicheru, Colton Miller, Dane Johnson, Grady Rogers, Jadyn Chastain and senior Hudson Sukhia.

The middle school cross country team also ran a two mile race. Sixth graders William Mevius, Jacoby Ogroske, Katherine Maguire, Connor Leick and Camden Holley set personal records. Seventh graders Dusty Thibodeaux and Ben Wall also achieved personal records. The Mustangs next meet will be the Garmin Mile Split on September 24.
