On Saturday, September 10, the Varsity and Middle School McKinney Christian Academy cheerleaders hosted the annual Lil’ Stangs cheer clinic for the elementary girls. The girls rotated through six different stations, learning five cheers and one dance. They learned multiple cheers such as “Dynamite,” “1,2,3” and other sideline cheers. The following Thursday, September 15, the Lil Stangs had a chance to perform their cheers and dance. Sophomore Varsity Cheer Captain Elise Winston said, “Lil’ Stangs clinic went super well this year despite having 75 girls. Everyone had a lot of fun and all enjoyed learning and performing the cheers.” On Friday, September 16, the Lil’ Stangs cheerleaders got to cheer on the sideline for the first quarter of the homecoming football game.
