On September 16, the Middle School Cross Country team ran in the Armor Up Invitational at Liberty Christian High School in Argyle, Texas. Several runners set new personal records including seventh grader Ben Wall 17:57.25, Scout Powell 28:10.15, Carrington Lansford 19:29.08 and eighth grader Dusty Thibodeaux, who placed top 20 with a time of 15:07.58. When Thibodeaux was asked about the meet, he said “I feel like I excel running as a solo, as a group maybe I go a bit slower but we’re good.” The next Middle Cross Country meet is the Garmin MileSplit TX at South Lakes Park in Denton on September 26.
