On Saturday October 1, the McKinney Christian Academy Cross Country Teams competed in the Jesuit XC Classic at the Prestonwood Polo Club. This meet started with the boys three mile race and following was the girls two mile race. Junior David Roller came across the line first for the men with a time of 18:38 taking 12th place. The Mustangs also had some personal records including freshmen Adam Gicheru and Grady Rogers, sophomore Jack Sukhia and senior Hudson Sukhia. When asked about the race Gicheru said, “For me the meet went well. I am happy with my time running my first sub 20 minutes 5K.” The girls race started right after the boys 5K. Senior Belle Kanz came in 15th place with a time of 13:37. The cross county teams next race is at the S.A.G.U. State Warm-up at “the Buff” in Haltom City.
