On Monday October 24, McKinney Christian Academy’s Middle and Upper School choirs performed at the annual Fall Choir Concert. The 6th grade choir began the concert with two songs “The Ghost Ship” by Don Besig and “Climbin’ Up The Mountain” by Linda Spevacek. The Upper School Jazz Ensemble performed three songs including “10,000 Hours” by Jack Zaino, “Yesterday” by Mark Brymer and “The Way You Look Tonight” by Kirby Shaw. When asked about the concert Junior Grace Krause said, “I thought that our choir concert reflected our hard work that we put into our music everyday. It is so fun to sing and be a part of choir.” Following the Jazz Ensemble, “Come Travel with Me” by Scott Farthing and “Shenandoah” by Andrew Parr were sang by the 7th and 8th grade choir. The Upper School Chorale then performed “Festival Gloria” by Porterfield and “Witness” by Bolks. To close out the concert, all choirs came together and performed “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” by Peter Lutkin.
