The Lady Mustangs Volleyball Season Comes to an End

The Lady Mustangs played their first playoff game against Lubbock Trinity Christian on Tuesday, November 1. Going in to the game with three big district wins, the Lady Mustangs were confident. After going down 12-25 the first set, the Lady Mustangs fought hard for the second set but ultimately lost 18-25. After dropping the first two sets, the Lady Mustangs rallied together to win the third set 25-17. The Mustangs fought hard until the end losing the fourth set 25-22. Head Coach Tara Ackmann responded to the loss saying, “I felt we were ready to play, but going into Lubbock it always tough to play in that gym. We did not start off strong, but in the third set we came and played like we usually do. We just could not finish the fourth set to take them into five.” This Area playoff game ended the Lady Mustangs season, seniors Georgia Haggard and Danie Morales played their last game of High School volleyball.The Mustangs finished their season will a record of 24-6.
