On Sunday, November 6, McKinney Christian Academy student junior Nick Catullo competed in the Best of the Best Triathlon. The triathlon consisted of swimming for 250 yards, biking for 18 miles, and a 5k run to the finish line. Catullo finished 1st in his age group and 10th overall out of 101 competitors with a total time of 1:17:56. When asked about the race Catullo said, “I felt pretty good going into the race. I trained a lot and knew I had a shot to win. Coming out of the swim I didn’t feel too good about where I was placed but I knew going into the bike I can make up for lost time. Coming out of the bike I was sitting fifth or sixth overall. I finished up 10th overall and first in my age group. I’m extremely happy where I ended up and looking forward to my next race.”
