McKinney Christian Academy had its yearly Grandparents Day where every Lower School grade sing a song for their parents and grandparents. This event is orchestrated by Lower School Music director Allison Finke. The songs that each grade sang were: Pre-K sang “All My Friends”, Kindergarten sang “Make New Friends”, first grade sang “Friends Forever”, second grade sang “Friend Of God”, third grade sang “You’ve Got a Friend In Me”, fourth grade sang “My Best Friend”, fifth grade sang “Count On Me”, Honor Choir sang “Friend Like Me”, and the Lower School Honor Choir sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” Which was sang in both English and American Sign Language. When Finke was asked how she thinks all the classes performed she said “I thought that they did phenomenally, they had worked really hard and it paid off.” This was another great Grandparents Day for the books.
