On Saturday, December 3 McKinney Christian Academy Middle School robotics team competed to get into the regional competition. The sixth grade team ended up finishing in first place while the seventh and eighth grade team won Best Design. The Gold team finished two new missions during the competition, while the blue team secured a spot at the regional tournament. With this win, it makes them the top third teams in North Texas. This win will take the team to Dallas ISD on February 11 or Cleburne on February 18. When asked about how the team feels moving forward coach Rob McDonald said “The MCA MS Robotics team showed up in full force. Their months of preparation, teamwork and continued focus on excellence resulted in securing a spot amongst the top third of all North Texas teams during Regionals in February. These two teams truly demonstrate the talents that God has entrusted them with and represented our great school with honor and integrity.  STEM is so critical to the success of our young people, and they are going places”. The robotics team will get ready to compete in regionals in February.
