During McKinney Christian Academy’s annual missions week, a group of students went to San Antonio along with Blueprint Ministries. Their mission was to work with people below the poverty line in San Antonio and repair their houses. They also got the chance to visit the Alamo and go to a San Antonio Spurs basketball game. When asked about the trip, teacher Jacqueline Greenwell-Strunk said, “My favorite part was helping the kids build a deck and also teaching them how to use a drill. The most impactful thing for me was getting to watch the kids grow together and in their relationship with God while helping people in need.” MCA is planning on going back next year to help the people of San Antonio.
