Senior Spotlight: Katy Almeida and Bobby McWard

Today’s Senior Spotlight is seniors Katy Almeida and Bobby McWard.

Almeida has been attending McKinney Christian Academy for nine years. In her time at MCA, Almeida has been involved in National Honors Society, Headmasters list, choir, art, newspaper, and teacher’s assistant. Outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, biking, shopping and watching romcoms. After graduation, Almeida plans on attending Baylor University to major in Health Science Studies on a Pre-med track. Her favorite MCA memory is going on mission trips her junior and senior year where she served others for God’s glory while also growing closer to her classmates. A fun fact about Almeida is that she was born in Boston, Massachusetts and her favorite food is mac and cheese. Her favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9.

McWard has been attending MCA for three years. While at MCA, he has been involved in National Honor Society, choir, Advocates, FCA and basketball. Outside of school, he likes to hangout with friends, play basketball and watch movies. In the fall, McWard plans to attend Colorado Christian University to major in Finance, where he will also play basketball. His favorite MCA memory is Nay Nay fixing the hotel air conditioner in Waco. A fun fact about McWard is that he is terrified of roller coasters. His favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
