Today’s Senior Spotlight are seniors Grace Garcia and Sarah Rawls.

Garcia has been attending McKinney Christian Academy for two years. In her time at MCA, Garcia has been involved in theatre. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, drawing, painting, working out, exploring and spending time with friends and siblings. In the fall, Garcia plans on attending Southern Methodist University and majoring in Theatre. Her favorite MCA memory was spending TAPPS with her friends and theatre peers. A fun fact about Garcia is that she used to only speak Spanish as a little kid but now she has to relearn Spanish. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 5:7.

Rawls has been attending MCA for fourteen years. While at MCA, Rawls has been involved in National Honor Society, Robotics, Band President and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the flute, reading and hanging out with friends. After graduation, Rawls plans on attending Abilene Christian University and majoring in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Her favorite MCA memory was on her junior year band trip when they went to put their stuff away at the hotel before the performance. The hotel was not as advertised but they stayed there for an hour before squishing nine people in a five-seat car, where they stayed for an hour. A fun fact about Rawls is that she is technically a licensed mermaid, but hasn’t done a dive in years, and she is an advanced open water diver. Her favorite Bible verse is Revelation 2:10.
