On Friday April 28, McKinney Christian Academy held their annual Senior Chapel. This particular chapel is special to honor the achievements of the senior class. The chapel began by recognizing six seniors who had been offered sports scholarships. Bobby McWard will be attending Colorado Christian University in the fall to play basketball, Lily Jornod will be attending Oklahoma Baptist University in the fall to join the dance team, Summer Utzig will be attending Mississippi College in the fall to play soccer, Alexa Harriman will be attending North Greenville University in the fall to play soccer, and Kate Nordhaus and Sarah Krusing will be attending Howard Payne University in the fall to play soccer. After honoring these students, every senior was called to the front to show which college they will be attending and what scholarships they will accept. In total, MCA’s 2023 senior class received in total of over four million dollars offered in scholarships and over one million dollars had been accepted. Afterwards, seniors Leigh-Evan Kitzmiller, Angelina Li, Hudson Sukhia, and junior JC Harrison led the students in worship. To end the morning, Morgan Davison, Gabby Gordon, Macy Warshawsky, Tyler Swearingen, and Bobby McWard answered some questions students asked both about senior year and years prior.
