Choir Dinner Show

Choir has their final performance of the year and sings music from movies.

On Saturday April 29, the McKinney Christian Academy Choir hosted their annual dinner show in the Student Life Center at 6:00 p.m. The theme for the show this year was songs from movies. Dinner was accompanied by solos from junior Jacob Dover-Smith, senior Sydney Scrivner, sophomore Gavin Fletcher, sophomore Davie-Ann Kitzmiller, junior Gerrit Rogers, sophomore Hannah Massingale, junior Grace Krause, sophomore Courtney Arnold and Choir Director Amy Jordan. Then the choir came together and sang “The Never Ending Story” from the movie The Never Ending Story. Vocal ensemble then sang “Someone in the Crowd” from La La Land. Following that, all choir members sang “Breaking Free” from High School Musical. Then vocal ensemble sang “Life is a Highway” from Cars followed by “I’m Still Standing” from Sing by the whole choir.  Choir Director Amy Jordan then presented awards. Rogers and Krause were both presented with the Outstanding Award, recognizing all their efforts throughout the year. After the awards, a slideshow of pictures was the year was shown. Massingale said “I had a really good time at the dinner show and it was a really fun experience seeing my classmates perform their best work.” The choir then sang “Joyful, Joyful” from Sister Act 2 with solos from multiple students. They ended the concert by singing “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”
