On Saturday, August 26, the McKinney Christian Academy cross country team competed in the Greenhill Luke’s Locker Relay. The meet is a six mile relay with four runners on a team, each running a mile and a half. The boys relay team consisted of seniors, David Roller and Nicholas Catullo, junior Jack Sukhia and freshmen Luke McAnally. On the final leg of the meet Roller secured fifth place for the Mustang boys. Shortly after, the girls started their six mile race. The girls team included juniors, Joy Allen, sophomores Hannah Doshier and Jadyn Chastain and freshman Hannah Reynolds. The girls finished top 10 for the meet. When asked about how the meet went Sukhia said “The meet went well. We all knew how we would attack the race and give ourselves the best chance to place. I really enjoy coming to this meet as a team and racing together, we have a lot of potential for the rest of the year.” The Mustangs next meet will be at “The Buff” on Saturday, September 2.
