On Thursday, October 19, the Lady Mustang volleyball team displayed an exceptional performance as they traveled to Prince of Peace for their last district game of the season. The Mustangs have been dominating the district matches since last year, and this game was no different. The Mustangs started with a 25-19 victory in the first set and continued their dominance as they won the second set with a score of 25-13. Although Prince of Peace won the third set by only four points with a score of 21-25, the Mustangs quickly responded and closed the game with a final score of 25-20 in the fourth set. The team’s strong offensive and defensive play left Prince of Peace with no chance of winning. Junior Kadence Ackmann led the team with 17 kills, and senior Kaylin Starling was not far behind with 12. Junior Mia Gunn showcased her defensive skills by collecting 14 digs throughout the match. The Lady Mustangs finished district play 14-0.
The Mustangs are set to take on the Area round of playoffs at home on Tuesday, October 31.
