On Saturday, October 21, the Middle School students went to a roller skating rink where they skated around and had a great time. A skating event has the power to unite a large number of individuals through shared enjoyment. This replaced their annual homecoming dance they normally have. Middle Schoolers also had the opportunity to dress up the week prior in certain themes such as jersey day, color wars, and more. Petra Westra adds, “It was really fun and all the positive energy around us was also really cool. Even though I wish we had an actual dance but I feel like this made up for it because it was a special time to just have fun with friends and to hangout with new people.”
