On Tuesday, April 9, the McKinney Christian Academy Art teacher, Ashley Bruegel, and nine of her Art students went to the TAPPS Art Competition. It was there that the students completed the individual works and participated in an on site drawing competition. Eight of the nine students ranked, with juniors Ava Leffingwell and Ken Quan getting first place in their respective categories. Senior Emily Snyder placed third in two categories, black and white, and senior portraits. When asked about the competition, Bruegel said,“Overall, it was a great showing. I am very proud of all of their hard work!”
