On Wednesday, September 25, students nationwide gathered around their school’s flagpoles together to participate in “See You at the Pole.” At seven in the morning, Mckinney Christian Academy students, staff, and families gathered at the Cross for prayer. This tradition began in 1990 with a small group of Texas students and is now a tradition that schools around the globe participate in. They gather to pray for their schools, families, countries, and leaders. It glorifies the Lord by allowing the students to engage in fellowship with one another before they start their day. Sophomore Bible and history teacher Jamie Oberdieck stated, “It was great being able to pray alongside students and staff and know that other Christians were doing the same around the world at that moment as well. To be able to start my day in prayer at school with others is not a blessing that everyone has.”
