Today starts a new chapter at McKinney Christian as the Bietsch Performance Center opens its doors after a complete redesign and remodel of the weight room! This renovation is not only about upgrading the facilities but also is a vibrant reflection of the dedication to nurturing the body and spirit of MCA students.
The Bietsch family’s remarkable generosity is an example of their deep faith and commitment to McKinney Christian Academy and every student that it serves. Bianca Bietsch said, “At its core, this partnership is about more than just building better athletes—it’s about building strong, Godly individuals. We wanted to create a space where children could grow their physical talents, but also be reminded of the larger purpose that God has for their lives. A space where they would learn how to compete with integrity, treat their peers with respect, and develop the discipline and determination that will serve them in every aspect of life. As parents of four boys, we know firsthand how essential it is to have spaces where children can develop not only their physical skills but also build character, resilience, and teamwork. We’ve seen how access to the right environment can shape a child’s future, and we wanted to be a part of creating that opportunity for as many children as possible. Our hope is that this training facility will become a place where kids not only improve their athletic abilities but also develop critical life skills like leadership, discipline, and perseverance. We want this to be a place where they can dream big and learn the skills they need to achieve those dreams.”
The Bietsch Performance Center now has state-of-the-art equipment and an enhanced layout that will invest in high-quality strength training and conditioning that will support students’ physical development. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and as such we commit to caring for them with respect and diligence. The redesigned layout will make better use of the space, allowing for more effective workouts and a safer environment. This improvement ensures that our resources are used efficiently to benefit MCA students.
The new center was also outfitted with fresh paint, updated lighting, and inspirational graphics to create a space that not only serves physical needs but also deepens the faith of the students.
Not only will the Bietsch Performance Center benefit students but also support athletic and personal growth. The new facility will significantly enhance the training experience for all students. Equipped with advanced fitness technology, the center will empower them to pursue their athletic and personal goals with greater effectiveness. This effort supports the Biblical call to strive for excellence and perseverance in all we do (Philippians 4:13), helping students achieve their potential while honoring God through their effort.
