The Lady Mustang varsity volleyball team won in four sets against Dallas Christian to wrap up the first round of district play. The first set score was 25-21. The second set was another victory with 25-23. They dropped the third set 22-25. They wrapped up the match in the fourth set 25-20. Several players were in double digits in kills, senior Kadence Ackmann led with 13. Junior Sadie Blake with 12 and senior Bren Williams with 11. Ackmann also led in solo blocks with a total of three. Senior Mia Gunn led with 17 digs. Ackmann shared her thoughts on the game, “It went well and we had great energy throughout the entire game. It was our most challenging game yet and it showed what potential we have to go far in the playoffs.”
Their next game will be on Tuesday, October 8, against Rockwall Heritage.
