The Lady Mustangs Get a Big Win against Shelton

Both MCA JV and Varsity Sweep the Shelton Chargers.

The Lady Mustangs get together before the game starts.

On Thursday, October 10, the McKinney Christian Academy Lady Mustangs took on the Shelton Chargers. The game was fast-paced, with energy on both sides of the court, but luckily, the Lady Mustangs came through to get the win in three sets against the Chargers. Freshman Brittany Bartoo talked about the game saying, “The game went well, and it was fun to play against Shelton. We had energy and got to work on things we’ve been practicing all week.” Senior Bren Williams led the Lady Mustangs with 13 kills. 

The Mustangs’ next game is on Tuesday, October 15, away against Tyler All-Saints.

This is Abby's 2nd year at MCA. She is a freshman. Outside of school Abby enjoys playing volleyball, going to church, and hanging out with her friends. She has been playing club volleyball for 4 years and is on the varsity volleyball team at MCA. Abby's favorite place to visit is the beach with all her family. This is Abby's first year in Newspaper and she's excited to contribute. Abby's favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7. "Cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Hi, I'm Bailey and I'm a freshman. I have been attending MCA since 3rd grade. I enjoy playing volleyball, being with friends, and being with family. This is my first year in newspaper and I'm very excited. My favorite MCA memory is going to the championship for D1 in 8th grade and having an undefeated season. My favorite bible verse is Psalms 27:19. "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."
