On Tuesday, October 15, the McKinney Christian Academy Band hosted its Fall Concert. Students from 6th grade to 12th grade all performed at the concert and did very well. There were a wide variety of songs played from more complex songs to the easier ones. The Praise Band played “Good Plans” and “Praise You Anywhere.” The 6th-grade band played the first 5 notes of the musical ladder and “Hot Cross Buns.” The 7th-grade band played “Zig-Zag,” and the Upper school band played “Living on a Prayer,” “Don’t Stop Believing,’ and “Carry On My Wayward Son.” When Jordynn Searcy, the Band Director, was asked about how she thought the students did, she expressed her happiness by saying, “I think they were awesome, they were very well prepared, they did their best and they tried their best, they were great I couldn’t have been any happier.”
Their next concert will be the Christmas concert.
