On Thursday, October 17, the McKinney Christian Lady Mustangs volleyball team faced off against Bishop Gorman in a district match. This game was Cancer Awareness Night for the Mustangs, so they sported their pink jerseys. The Mustangs started off winning the first set 25-12. The second set was another victory for the Mustangs, winning 25-10. They secured the win in the third set, defeating the Crusaders with a score of 25-9. Some notable players of the game were seniors Kadence Ackmann, with eight kills, Bren Williams, with nine kills, and Junior Sadie Blake, with six kills. The team finished with 30 kills combined. The Crusaders only finished with 14 kills total. The Mustangs also served on point during this game with 13 combined aces.
The Mustang’s next matchup is Senior Night on October 22 against Dallas Christian.
