On January 25, 2025, McKinney Christian Academy Upper School students gathered at the Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, Texas, for a night of fun. The dance started at 8 p.m. and wrapped up around 11 p.m. Students came dressed in suit-and-tie attire, filling the dance floor with shades of black, white, gold, and silver. Music blasted through the speakers, featuring songs like Lover by Taylor Swift, Footloose by Kenny Loggins, and Macarena by Los Del Rio.
A photo booth was stationed upstairs, allowing students to capture their night with fun pictures. Fresh, delicious churros were placed near the stairs, giving students a sweet treat during the dance. When asked about her experience at the Winter Formal, senior Sayler Wood said, “This winter formal was the best. The songs were great, the photo booth was fun, and the churros were the best surprise!” Later, junior Ben Thomas shared his thoughts about the event, saying, “I had a lot of fun dancing with all my friends.” The students look forward to Winter Formal every year and are already counting down to the next one.
