On Sunday, March 9, a group of upper school students at McKinney Christian Academy went on a mission trip to New Mexico. Here, the students served the Navajo tribe by handing out meals, providing vacation Bible school for the younger kids, and leading worship and sermons for the adults. The MCA students had the opportunity to travel to the Navajo reservation and pass out food and VBS fliers to them. Senior, John Clark, was asked about his experience serving the Navajos for the third year in a row. “It is truly a blessing to serve the Navajo people. This was my third year going on the New Mexico mission trip, and I am so grateful for everything God has shown and taught me.” The upper school students helped clean and rebuild parts of the “Christ for all Nations” mission buildings. The students also painted Pastor Tom’s Church and helped him fix the roofing. When they weren’t serving, the mustangs hiked up Chaco Canyon, explored the Pueblo tribe’s ancient ruins, and visited Old Town in Albuquerque.
