On April 15, the MCA Varsity softball team played Dallas Christian. The final score of the game was 0-22, resulting in a win for Dallas Christian. The start of the game was looking good for the Lady Mustangs, until freshman Harper Johnson was injured while on the mound. Freshman Elizabeth Thompson then stepped up to finish out the game pitching. Thompson spoke on the game and said, “Even though we were down the whole game, we still held our heads high and we finished out the game with great attitudes and we had very good teamwork. Although our circumstances of having to change our pitcher mid-game, we still worked to our fullest potential to finish the game strong. Throughout this whole season, our team has achieved many goals such as, working well together as a team, communicating well, and having fun. I enjoyed getting to know and play with all of my teammates and I am excited for the next season.”
