MCA Varsity And JV Volleyball Faces of Against Legacy Christian

The Lady Mustangs battle in a very close game against Legacy Christian.

Mustangs get a block

On Thursday, September 11, MCA JV and varsity volleyball faced Legacy. In the first set, Legacy won over MCA, making it 1-0 going into the next set. In the next set, both teams played hard, but Legacy came out on top, making it 2-0. Legacy then goes on to win the third set, sweeping the MCA varsity Mustangs. MCA JV starts off strong, winning the first set over Legacy 25-22, giving them the early lead. Legacy bounces back and fights to stay in the game winning the second set over MCA 25-17 making the game tied going into the third and final set. In the third set it was very close with both teams being tied most the time, and Legacy Christian came out with the win over MCA to win the final set 15-13, making it 2-1 with Legacy on top. On this night, it was also staff appreciation night. Everyone on the team took a picture with a teacher or staff member who motivates them or whom they appreciate. MCA will play again next Tuesday, September 23rd.

Cal Miller has been at MCA since 8th grade and is currently a sophomore. This is his first year taking newspaper, and he is looking forward to writing about all of the fun things that MCA offers. Cal plays baseball. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His favorite memory is from his freshman baseball season, playing on the varsity level and winning the state championship.
