On September 18, the Lady Mustang Volleyball team faced off against the Liberty Christian Warriors in a non-district game. The Mustangs started the game slowly, losing the first set 18-25, but quickly bounced back, winning the next set 25-18. In the third set, the Mustangs and the Eagles went back and forth, but the Mustangs came out on top, winning the set 26-24. In set four, the Mustangs came up short and lost 22-25. However, the Mustangs responded to the loss by winning the fifth set 8-15 to win the match. The game leaders in kills were senior Sadie Blake and sophomore Brittany Bartoo, each with 18. Sophomore Ellie Mullins said this about the game, “Every point brought us closer, and tonight’s win proves what happens when trust, hustle, and heart come together on the court.”
The Lady Mustangs’ next game is on September 23, against Shelton.
