On September 24, the Lady Mustang volleyball team played against the Shelton Chargers in their first district matchup. The Mustangs came out and won the first set 25-17, the second set 25-23, and closing the match with a 25-15 victory. Senior Sadie Blake led the team in kills with 12, while sophomore Brittany Bartoo added ten. Sophomore Ellie Mullins reflected on the performance, saying, “I left everything on the court, every dive, every spike, every point. With my team beside me, we didn’t just win… we dominated. This game was ours from the first serve.”
The Lady Mustangs’ next match is scheduled for September 25 against Tyler All Saints.
