The National Merit Scholarship Corporation competes for academically gifted high school students. Among the few, Anna Holm qualified for many scholarship opportunities presented to NMSC finalists. McKinney Christian Academy honored Holm by presenting her with the award. When asked about the award, Holm said, “Being a National Merit Semifinalist took a lot of work, something I couldn’t have done without the constant support of my teachers, family, and friends.” Of the roughly 1.3 million students who participated, she was one of 16,000 recognized as a finalist to win many awards. McKinney Christian Academy is proud to represent Holm through all her academic endeavors.

Grey Royal, staff writer
Grey Royal is currently a freshman and entering her fifth year at McKinney Christian Academy. She enjoys cheering for her school during the fall and winter seasons. However, during the spring, she runs track for the school. In her free time, she spends most of her time cheering competitively. Grey is excited for her first year of writing as a staff writer for the Mane Edition and is grateful for this opportunity.
Her favorite bible verse is Psalms 91:7-8, which reads:
“A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes of the punishment of the wicked.”
