On Thursday, October 16th, MCA held its first annual Clash of Crowns. Many teams competed in a 3v3 tournament-style competition. This tournament was to grow the MCA girls’ basketball program. In the end, it was a close competition between teams “Nothing but Net” and “The Unicorns,” but “Nothing but Net” took the crown. After the tournament, the awards and prizes were given out. Some of the awards given were tournament MVP going to Senior, Sadie Zbranek, most creative team going to “The Narwals,” and best dressed going to “The Dribbling Divas.” When asked about the competition, Coach Kiara Tate said, “It was super cool to see everyone come together to play basketball, and I can’t wait to do it again next year.”
