On Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, the seventh and eighth grade theater class performed “Alice @ Wonderland” as their first production of the school year. The play starred eighth grader, Makenna Clark, as Alice and she showed a great range of emotion and character throughout each of her performances. Some supporting cast members were eighth graders, Crawford McWilliams (Mad Hatter), Catherine Vanman (Queen of Hearts), Collin Flinn (Cheshire Cat), Emma Gastelum (Humpty Dumpty) and seventh graders, Brynn Mejan and Anna Wall (Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum).
The entirety of the cast displayed so much talent and each of them is eager to put on their next production. In fact, some of them have the chance to be featured in the Upper School’s musical, “The Little Mermaid” in April. One of these talented young actors is seventh grader, Griffin McAnally. When asked about how she thought her first play went, she said, “I think it went really well for our first play and although some of us were nervous, we had a great time. I’m also very excited to be in the Upper School musical because all of the actors have so much talent and I’d love to work with them.”
The audience had so many laughs while watching “Alice @ Wonderland” and each of the students are hopeful for a great rest of their year in theater.
