On Monday, March 9, students from the sophomore and junior classes, along with chaperones, traveled to San Antonio. While they were there, they constructed and rebuilt floors and a deck for a family, helping out around their house. The group finished replacing the floors and got about halfway done in rebuilding the new deck. They also went on cultural activities, such as walking the boardwalk and helping the community even more. After a long week and lots of work, the group traveled back on Friday, March 13. When asked about how the mission trip went, Mr. Nolan Frederick said, “There was lots of teamwork and collaboration, although we may have been close to chopping off our fingers at tidmes (we were using lots of power tools). Haha! It went really well, though!”
The students and faculty can’t wait until next year’s mission trips, and this year’s trips have made a huge impact on them.
