Layla Dugan is a spirited sophomore in her second year at McKinney Christian Academy. As a new staff writer, she’s excited to cover school events and bring them to life for her fellow students. 

This year, Layla is also thrilled to be back on the McKinney Christian cheerleading team, where she enjoys fostering team spirit and camaraderie. In her free time, she finds peace in reading her Bible and expressing her creativity through playing the piano.

Her favorite scripture verse, Proverbs 15:1, says: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” This verse inspires her to approach every situation with kindness and compassion.
