Every year, the softball girls go against Prince of Peace for their last game of the season. They have unfortunately lost two years in a row. This year, they faced their toughest district game on their home field at 4:00 on Thursday, April 20th. Without their starting first baseman, eighth grader Truett Rothrock, the girls has to adjust and change up their positions for the big game. Eighth grader Memorie Treigle says “Win or lose, we enjoyed the game itself so much.” Even though they lost, the girls had a very memorable season with head coach Wendy McDowell.

Eighth grader Micah McDowell says, “I think that this was a fabulous season to learn and grow in knowledge of the game and of Christ. This was a fun season to end my middle school year on.”

The girls grew this year with a bunch of new players and sixth graders, ending with a record of 5-4.  Rothrock said, “It was a great last sport to end my middle school sports on. It was super fun getting to know all the new sixth graders.” The girls look forward to their 2018 season.
