Even over the Christmas Break, the Middle School boys soccer team played hard, resulting in a win. The Monday before their classes resumed, January 8, the boys played against Parish Episcopal at home resulting in a 4-1 victory. Seventh-grader Emilio Sanchez scored three out of the four goals, and eighth-grader Elliot Mahadi scored the fourth.

Within the first half, two goals had been scored for the Mustangs and one against. Sixth-grader David Roller commented, “At halftime, coach told us to use our left foot, to make sure the offense did not get called for offsides, and for the defense to make sure to push up.” The players did as he said, and Parish was unable to score again. The middle of the second half was when Sanchez scored his third goal, and Mahadi finished up the last ten minutes by scoring their fourth goal.

The boys will play their next game on Friday January 19 against Grapevine Faith.
