Varsity Basketball Ends the Season

The MCA varsity boys basketball came to the end of their season on February 6 playing against Vanguard. The team lost the game 72-81 placing them fourth out of ten in district. Ren Willis, senior, said, “I’m thankful for the team we had this year and one last opportunity to play for God. I’ll miss my teammates and coaches.” With the season coming to an end, the varsity team holds high hopes for the upcoming season. Joseph Shaver, senior and new to the team this year, says, “I’m thankful for all the new relationships that this team has brought because I was new to this school and I’m happy that we have bonded so well. I’ll miss all of my teammates and the memories that this season has brought.” The team looks forward to their next season as they plan to improve over the next year and make it to playoffs.
