On January 10th, the newly founded MCA Indoor Track Team traveled to College Station, Texas to compete in the 2020 Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic that lasted two days. MCA Head Varsity Track Coach Darrick Ware is the head of the new indoor track team, The Texas Speed Project, and there are currently 14 members on the team. There were around 2000 club participants at the 2020 Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic. This meet draws highly competitive participants due to the college scouting opportunities. School records were set at the meet as senior Aaron Phillips ran a 7.22 in the 60m dash, junior Cooper Roach ran a 9.47 in the 60m hurdles, and freshman Lexi Pogue ran a 8.66 in the 60m dash.
