The Lady Mustangs traveled to Dallas Christian on Friday, February 8 for the Area round of playoffs. Junior Ruth Perry, scored the first goal for the Lady Mustangs followed by freshman Sarah Krusing scoring twice. The varsity girls put up a good fight against Dallas Christian but ended with a loss of 3-8. Head coach, Wendy McDowell talks about the team saying,”We faced a very tough opponent in our first playoff match and played our hearts out, but didn’t finish the way we had hoped. This team is young and left a huge impression on many of the teams we played and I have been blessed beyond measure to have coached such a wonderful group of amazing girls.” Senior, Haley Hitt, comments about the season saying,”I am so grateful for everyone on the team and the roles each of them played in not only my senior year but my life. The season might be over, but the relationships made are not.” Ending the season with a loss is not ideal, but the girls are looking forward to their next season.
