Varsity boys soccer team took on Legacy Christian Academy in the Bi-District round of playoffs on Tuesday, February 4. The boys took the field to battle in a cold, windy game. Freshman, Emilio Sanchez, got past Legacy’s defenders and scored on their keeper in the first half. The Mustangs put up a good challenge against Legacy, but fell short to the Eagles 5-1. Varsity soccer coach, Peter Gordon, comments saying,”We played our best game in the playoffs against Legacy last Tuesday and have proven that we do have the ability to play at a division two level, even though we did not win. Our roster this year was made up of eight freshmen, three sophomores, six juniors and no seniors. So, overall it’s a very young team, but already playing at a high level. I can’t wait to see how they do next year.” The varsity boys ended their season with a tough game but are looking forward to their next season.
