Junior Nate Gwynn,  won his weight class, 120, at the TAPPS State Wrestling meet. Gwynn has been wrestling for nine years and has wrestled for MCA since freshman year. When asked about what it means to be able to wrestle for MCA Gwynn says, “To me it is an honor to be on this team. It means to be the person that fears nobody and works hard to honor the Lord with their actions.” The feeling of when the referee raises your arm after a long hard battle is what drives Gwynn to do the best he can. After winning his weight class at TAPPS State, Gwynn went on to Prep Nationals in Pennsylvania and wrestled along side another one of his teammates, sophomore Denzel Poulter. Gwynn is planning to continue wrestling at MCA for his senior year.
