Tiger and Peyton Manning face off against Phil and Tom Brady

On May 24, 2020, four sports titans will face off at Medalist Golf Club in a charity match. These four sports icons and household names are Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady. The participants will be playing a match play event to raise money for coronavirus aid and relief. This isn’t the first time that Woods and Mickelson have faced off in a match on a big stage, They had an 18 hole match in 2019 over Thanksgiving break in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mickelson ended up winning the event in 2019 and took home the prize money of nine million dollars. However, this isn’t just any old game of golf as each player will have to rely on their teammates to come through this time. Mickelson is teamed up with Brady and Woods is pairing with Manning. They will be playing a combination of different formats throughout the match. They will start by playing the best ball format on the front nine and then they will transition to playing an alternate shot on the back nine to keep things interesting. Woods is looking for revenge after tasting defeat last time around, but at the end of the day, it should be an event that will both entertain fans during the current dry spell of sports and benefit a great cause.
