Senior Maliq Brock has recently verbally committed to run on the Track and Field Team at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Hillsdale College is a Division II school in the NCAA. Brock started running Cross Country and Track in sixth grade at McKinney Christian Academy. Since then, he has become a successful runner, especially in the 400 meter race. During his Sophomore year, Brock made it to the TAPPS state meet in the 400 meter and won with a time of 50.07 seconds.   Brock said he will be running the 400 meter race and possibly the 200 meter race for Hillsdale. When asked how he felt about committing, he said, “I’m very excited to run since I have always liked running track. I am also excited because the coach is really cool and to be on a new team and experience new competition.” Brock is officially signing his commitment on Wednesday November 11, 2020.
