Boys Basketball Dominates in Season Opener

On Thursday, November 12th the McKinney Christian boys varsity basketball team had their season opener at home against Wylie Prep. The Mustangs came off a dominate year last year. The Mustangs got off to a really quick start and also would go on multiple 20-0 runs. They played at 1-3-1 zone throughout the whole game, which would make the opposing team give up 35 turnovers. The final score of the game would be 93-21 with the Mustangs on top. The two leading scores were sophomore Bobby McWard and junior Jalen Wheeler with both 30 points. After the game, Wheeler had this is to say, ” We played very well as a team, with great team defense and a lot of communication.” Their next game is at home against Weatherford, November 19th at the SLC.
