Last week, the Middle School boys basketball D1 and D2 teams played Cornerstone Academy in the final regular game of the season. The D2 game started the night with a big 36-20 win. The leading scorer was 7th grader Adam Gicheru with 10 points. When asked about how he felt about the game 6th grader Mason Reeves stated, “We played really well together, and we proved that we are really good. If we keep dominating we can go really far.” D1 kept the momentum from the D2 game and went on to win 25-6. Eighth grader Preston Reeves was the leading scorer with 13 points. Eighth grader Aaron Grant said,”We played really good, because everyone passed, shot and played defense really well. When we gel, we are very hard to beat.” This victory was the Mustangs last regular game of the season and D1 would finish with a record of 4-4 and D2 would finish with a record of 6-1.
