Double Overtime for the Varsity Girls Soccer Team

The Lady Mustangs soccer team played Tyler Grace Community at home on Wednesday, February 3. At halftime, the 2021 seniors on the team were recognized alongside their parents. This years graduating class includes student manager, Maggie George, student athletic trainer, Trinity Souther, players, Micah McDowell, Emma DeMaagd, Alessia Catullo, Ruth Perry, Avery Young, Hallie Witte and Annie Weichel. The Mustangs were tied 3-3 going into overtime where Tyler Grace scored in the second 10 minute overtime winning the game 4-3. Freshman Ava Thompson scored all three goals for the Mustangs. Witte commented about the game saying “It was a super tough game and we all played our hardest. Even though we lost in OT it set us up for a good spot in playoffs.” The Lady Mustangs next game is Friday, February 5 at McKinney Christian Academy against Dallas Christian.
