The McKinney Christian Academy Middle School football team hosted the Coram Deo Lions on Thursday, September 16, keeping their win streak alive. The Mustangs came in to the game with a 1-1 record after beating Grace Prep on the road the previous week. This was their first home game of the season. The Mustangs bumped the score up 12-0, in the beginning of the game. The Lions had to fight back in order to tie the lead. From here on the lead swayed constantly. Eighth-grader Noah Melton made completed multiple catches to allow the Mustangs to get back on top. The defense held the Lions to a four and out. The Mustangs win the game with a score of 28-26. Coach Brady James had this to say about the game, “We played really well and have improved every week. I also wanted to tell our coaching staff, great job because it helped lift each player up.” The next game will be at home against Good Shepherd on Thursday, September 23rd.
