Mustang Football plays well offense against Tyler Grace

On Friday, October 8, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity football team played against the Grace Community Cougars at Ron Poe Stadium in McKinney. The Mustangs took on Tyler Grace for the first district football game of the year. This game would go back and forth with one team scoring and the next team scoring right back at them. Senior Zeke Long had five touchdowns during the game.  Four of those touchdowns were scored in the first two quarters of the game. Long scored every touchdown for the Mustangs. Sophomore Cash Etheredge assisted Zeke Long’s touchdowns. Etheredge says “We played hard against Tyler Grace and scored another win for our season. I love being apart of Mustang football.”

With a stop on defense in the fourth quarter, the Mustangs got the ball back, milking the clock. This would allow them to line up in a victory formation to secure a Mustang win. This would be the first time your Mustangs have ever beat Grace Community. This was a huge statement game for the Mustangs now being 1-0 in district.  Next week the Mustangs play Dallas Christian away at Dallas Christian School.
